Showcasing Innovation in Climate Change Programming
^
The Communicating Climate Change (C3) and Spherical Display Systems preconference event will focus on innovative climate change programming in science museums across the world. Participants will have the opportunity to view the climate change activities created as part of the NSF-funded C3 project and hear from experts associated with the project. Spherical display systems, including NOAA's Science On a Sphere, have the potential to increase public understanding of climate science. We will investigate lessons learned and next steps for collaboratively utilizing these systems in informal science education settings. The day will include a joint morning session and two separate afternoon tracks: one for those interested in learning more about C3 and climate change programming, and one for those who want to learn more about Science On a Sphere.
